Dr. Joel Obregon, originally from Kingsville, Texas, is a highly skilled physical therapist with extensive experience and a commitment to holistic, individualized patient care. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Texas A&M University-Kingsville in 2014 with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and a minor in Biology. In 2017, he earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Health Professions in Lubbock, Texas.

As a dedicated clinical educator, Dr. Obregon plays an active role in shaping the next generation of physical therapy professionals. He serves as a clinical instructor for Del Mar College’s physical therapist assistant program, where he mentors and supervises students during their clinical rotations. In this role, he provides hands-on guidance, sharing his knowledge and experience in patient care, rehabilitation techniques, and professional development. He is passionate about instilling the values of empathy, critical thinking, and evidence-based practice in his students.

Dr. Obregon resides in Corpus Christi, Texas, where he enjoys a fulfilling life with his wife, their son, and dog. When he's not working, Dr. Obregon is passionate about spending time outdoors, often fishing along the Gulf Coast and surrounding areas. His love for nature extends to creating lasting memories with his family during weekend getaways and other outdoor adventures. At home, he enjoys taking on home improvement projects, where his attention to detail and hands-on approach mirrors dedication to his profession. Whether he's tackling a new DIY project or enjoying quality time with his loved ones, Dr. Obregon values the balance between his professional life and personal passions, making the most of his time with his family.
